Colby wasn't giving Robert any wiggle room; he could lift the guy with one hand like it was nothing. With Spencer begging and Robert kicking up a fuss, Colby tossed them both out, and his crew roughly shoved them into the back of a van, speeding off without a second thought.

"Classic Colby—straight to the point and no messing around," Adler said, shaking his head. He figured those two high schoolers were in for a day they'd never forget. The last person to get that treatment was Sandy.

"Now that we're done here and The Silent Shadows aren't coming after us, let's keep it that way and not stir the pot," Adler suggested, keeping a laid-back stance toward The Silent Shadows.

Jenna chimed in, "Easy for you to say. They've got their eyes on Odie! Are we seriously gonna hand him over on a silver platter?"

Adler mumbled, "Well, none of them are saints anyway... might as well hand him over..."

Jenna smacked him on the head. "What kind of nonsense is that? We're all in this together. Who knows what The Silent Shadows' big boss is plotting? What if there's some massive scheme to take down humanity? Plus, the person who messed with their four big families back in the day might've been working for this boss."

She turned to Sophie and Colby, "Anyway, we trust you guys. Whatever you decide, we’ve got your back. We’ve fought together before, so don’t keep us in the dark next time."

"Jenna..." Sophie felt a pang of guilt.

"Come on, three heads are better than one. Even if The Silent Shadows are tough nuts to crack, there’s bound to be a way through," Jenna encouraged.

Sophie fell silent, having already tried everything she could think of recently. The other side still hadn't shown themselves. She'd finally found a lead on the dark web, but she was wary of using it too soon. It seemed she'd have to wait for the mysterious boss to make a move.

But Colby just shrugged and said, "I go where my wife leads."

"You traitor!" Adler thought, feeling betrayed.

Sophie added, "Relax, we've got a night to recharge. But we need to hustle back to Devonport. Summerfield's under Kena's thumb now, and if she catches wind of our plans, it won't end well for us."
