Reece held the contract in his hand, a resigned smile playing on his lips. "Sophie, I've already told you, you can have him, but that doesn't mean he'll want to go with you."

"Whether he goes with me is my concern. Fulfilling your promise to hand him over is yours."

"Fine, he's of no use to me anymore, it's not like I can't give him away."

With a slight gesture from Reece, someone soon brought Odie over.

Upon seeing Sophie and Jonah, Odie's expression turned sour, as if blaming Sophie for coming.

"Come here!"

Anger laced Sophie’s voice.

Unconsciously, Odie took a step forward but soon scowled and said, "I'm not going back with you. Leave!"

"Odie, stop throwing a tantrum. The diamond has already been handed over, and my company is gone too! If I don't bring you back, I can't explain it to everyone!"

Hearing this, Odie's expression grew even darker. Clenching his fists, he coldly told Sophie, "We're not on the same path, Sophie. All of this is just your wishful thinking! Leave! I don't want to see you!"

Jonah stepped forward, though his pale face betrayed the pain from the wound on his shoulder.

Odie's voice grew colder: "Don't you understand? I don't want to see you. The Silent Shadows offer me more. We've only been together for mutual benefits from the start. It was true then, it's true now, and it'll be true in the future. I never considered you friends."

Sophie could clearly see Odie's eyes reddening, filled with ruthlessness and disdain.

It seemed he was extremely averse to their presence.

"Sophie, do you understand now? It's not that I won't let him go; he doesn't want to leave."

Jonah's injury couldn't wait much longer. Since Odie refused to leave, the least she could do was prevent Jonah from getting hurt further.

"Ms. Sophie!"

Jonah looked at Sophie pleadingly.

"I know you want to stay by Odie's side, but he can't possibly take you with him to The Silent Shadows, you understand?"

Sophie's voice was very low.
