Sophie glanced at Gordon with concern, and after stepping outside, she asked, “Is Mr. Gordon's asthma very serious?”

“Asthma?”

“Yes, wasn’t that asthma?”

“Mr. Gordon often coughs up blood and occasionally has difficulty breathing, but he’s never had asthma.”

“It’s not a big deal. I take so many medications; one more or one less won’t kill me.”

The maid’s demeanor was kind, and Sophie said, “Then let’s not disturb Mr. Gordon’s work. It’s nothing urgent.”

“Then, Ms. Sophie, if you need anything, just ring the bell and call for me.”

“Alright.”
