Levi looked away from Eric and replied, "Harvey? He's already been taken into custody. There are surveillance cameras everywhere, so he won't be getting out anytime soon."

He then turned to Eric and said, "You're so useless. How could you get cut by a weakling like him?"

Eric sneered and replied, "Who cares? I got hurt saving Jae, so it's all worth it! And since I'm injured, Jae will have to take care of me now."

He then turned to me with that fake innocent act of his and asked, "Isn't that right, Jae?"

I nodded absentmindedly in response.

Upon seeing this, Levi's face twisted with anger, his hands clenching into fists. Yet seeing Eric's state, he had no choice but to give up and say resentfully, "What a schemer."

Eric didn't seem bothered at all. Instead, he grinned triumphantly and said, "It sounds like someone's jealous because they can't have what I have."

Levi merely rolled his eyes, not responding to Eric's taunts.

Just then, I recalled his sudden appearance and asked, "What made you come looking for me?"

Eric had been picking me up from work every evening after our marriage, so it made sense for him to show up at my workplace. Levi, however, had been so preoccupied with the studio lately, and I hadn't seen him for quite some time now.

"It's because I miss you!" Levi replied with a smile, sneaking a glance at Eric. "It's been a while since I last saw you, so, of course, I had to come see you!"

Eric scoffed and said, "It seems like someone's being delusional, thinking they're missed when, in truth, no one even gave them a second thought."

Levi rolled his eyes and ignored Eric before looking at me. "There's something else I need to tell you. You see, the Cornell family has been reaching out about a collaboration these past few days. I've been turning them down, but it doesn't seem like they're giving up anytime soon."

I furrowed my brows and asked, "Is it Jeremiah?"

Levi nodded and said, "Yes, Cornell Group has been sending a few representatives over to the studio these past few days. I've turned them down, though. They seem quite persistent, so Jeremiah will probably look for you soon."
