Chapter 37

I calmly sat down and had a sip of water. “So? Would you like to explain yourselves?”

Teremiah was about to speak when I cut him off, “Hey, please don’t tell me that this is all take. Anyone who digs a little deeper will find out that Cornell Group’s deficit is more than just a few million dollars.”

Jeremiah became quiet after hearing my words. He was clenching his fists tightly.

Quinton turned livid. He was stunned beyond words, and he glared at me like he wanted to swallow me whole.

Unbothered, I flashed him a smile, silently taunting him.

Dad flipped through the documents, and his expression quickly darkened.

“I get it now. No wonder the funds we invested in the early stages showed little progress. I only gave you this project because of the ties between our tamilies. I can’t believe that you were actually scheming against us!”

Quinton tried to explain the situation. “Tim, this is a misunderstanding! L…”

“Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding? Even if it were, this partnership is highly risky! We’ll never work with you again!”

Dad’s temper flared up, and he immediately called for security to throw both Jeremiah and Quinton out of the house.

I casually stood at the back as I watched both father and son getting kicked out by security.

It was likely that Quinton had never faced such humiliation in his life. Anger and embarrassment flashed across his face. Before stepping into his car, he turned around and pointed at our door in a rage. “You Browns are just too much!” he roared.
