Chapter 421 Honey, We Should Go Home

Sophia knew it was a compliment.

"I admit that I used to believe that a boy should be the heir to the Riley family. But after so much happened, I realize it doesn't matter whether a boy or a girl will be the successor. The point is that the Riley family's bloodline could survive long."

"A girl could finish the same mission as a boy. Bonnie is also one of the Rileys. Besides, considering Bonnie's current behaviors, she might come out as an even more outstanding person."

It was a rare thing that the Old Riley abandoned his old ideas.

Though he was hoodwinked by Olivia back then, he should have investigated the things rather than broke up Drake and Sophia.

At night, when everyone had dinner and was about to leave, Bonnie was apparently reluctant to say goodbye to them. Sophia almost took her home when Emma interjected, "Bonnie, don't you want to spend more time with your grandma?"

Bonnie nodded, "Yes."

"Don't worry. After you spend these days with me and Aunt Aria, you can stay with your parents forever, alright?"

Bonnie nodded again.

After driving Nathan and Baron back home, Sophia and Drake went back to their house.

The moment they entered the house, Drake started caressing Sophia.

Sophia found it hard to resist him, "Hey, what are you doing?"

"As I said, you should make it up to me."

"Can I have a day off?"

"No."

They spent a great night.

The next day, though Sophia was still feeling a bit sore, she got up early in the morning.

Drake opened his eyes and asked, "It's still early. Why are you up? Come back and let me hug you for a while."

While putting up makeup in front of the mirror, Sophia said, "Chloe has filled in for me in the past two years. Now she's pregnant. I should go back to manage the company."

Drake frowned, "We only married two days ago. Tomorrow you are supposed to visit your maiden family. You should have some rest at home."

He specially set aside days to spend together with her. After all, they hadn't considered about going on a honeymoon.

Sophia looked at him, "You can go to work with me. It's not like you haven't done that before."

Drake was amused. It seemed she was determined about going to work. Well, she left him no choice but to go with her.

They went to the Skylane Group first, where Chloe had been waiting for Sophia.

Sophia asked, "Why are you so early?"

"I thought of the job transfer with you, so I came early."

Bailey complained bitterly, "Someone has a thing for exploiting his workers."

Drake lifted his brows, "You mean me?"

"Stop it. Chloe has done enough for me. We can't be that selfish, can we? Chloe and Bailey haven't spent much time together. I think this would be an opportunity to give her days off."

Drake touched his nose. It was not what he meant. He just wanted Sophia to spend more time with him.

This time was not like before. Without Chloe, Sophia could not leave her job anytime during the day. It might not be that easy for him to see her.

After all, they just went back to each other. He would really hate it if she was not by his side.

Once Sophia had put her word, she would prove it with her actions. For two hours, she didn't give him a glance. Drake tried to attract her attention by all means, but none of them worked.

After lunch, Sophia went to the Barnett Group. When Hank saw her coming, he was thrilled.

"Ms. Lawson. What a nice surprise."

"I know you are doing well here, but still, I want to see it with my own eyes."

"Are you busy tonight, Ms. Lawson? I'd like to treat you to dinner..."

He was quite excited before noticing the look in Drake's eyes.

"Mr. Riley, let's have dinner together." He reacted in time.

But Drake was being rude, "But I don't want to dine with you."

Sophia shoved him, "What are you talking about?"

Hank was thrilled, "So you agreed? Ms. Lawson?"

Sophia smiled, "Well, I'm sorry, but I can't have dinner with you tonight. However, I'm looking forward to your wedding."

Hank was a bit coy, "You know it all?"
