Chapter 564 Mr. Stark Was Rescued

"Don't talk nonsense, Mr. Stark."

Sophia untied him.

Her voice made Mr. Stark snap open his eyes. His gaze fell on her.

"It's you, Ms. Lawson!"

Sophia quickly untied him. "Right. It's me. Don't worry. Jessica has left. I'm here to rescue you."

Mr. Stark recalled Jessica's words earlier. "I didn't expect you to rescue me in person, Ms. Lawson. Thank you so very much," he said gratefully.

"Let's not waste time. I'm taking you away. Jessica's helper is too capable. I'm afraid he'll find I'm rescuing you."

"OK."

Mr. Stark was too weak. Her words, however, encouraged him. He became refreshed and pulled himself together.​

Jessica had left the building, but suddenly, Rashad called her.

"Hello, Mr. Witt. What happened?"

"Where are you now?"

Jessica wondered why he asked so. "I'm on my way back to the company. What's wrong?"

"Did you go to see Mr. Stark earlier?"

"Yeah, I did."

"Is he with you now?"

"Nope. I've seen him earlier. Now, I'm on my way to the company."

Rashad had a rough idea of what had happened. "Go back now. I don't care what you have to deal with. Mr. Stark is probably rescued."

"What?"

Jessica dared not delay at all. Mr. Stark was her greatest trump card. If he went back to the Cannon Group, all she had done would be in vain.​

When Jessica asked the taxi driver to make a U-turn, the taxi brushed past the shabby car Sophia drove and Mr. Stark was inside. Jessica, however, had no idea of it.

She didn't see anyone after returning to the building. Mr. Stark was gone.

Immediately, she called Rashad, "What should I do? Mr. Stark is gone."

"Trash!" Rashad cursed.

Jessica could not refute Rashad after she lost her trump card.

"What should I do to find him? Mr. Witt, you are so amazing. I know you must have a way."

A smile touched Rashad's lips. "You don't have to find Mr. Stark back."

"What? If not, I'm afraid I have to lose my position in the Cannon Group?"

Jessica had kidnapped and abused Mr. Stark, so no doubt Mr. Stark would fire her once he returned to the company.

She didn't know how to deal with Sophia if she was kicked out of the Cannon Group.

"Go to catch his family. Mr. Stark would definitely surrender."

Jessica followed his suggestion. "Mr. Witt, you're so brilliant! I'll do it now. I won't let you down this time."

Sophia sent Mr. Stark to a place instead of his house. She knew Jessica would soon find he had been rescued.

Once Jessica found it, she would search for him in his house.

Sophia suddenly realized if Jessica failed to find Mr. Stark, she would do something to his family.

Sophia tried to calm him down. "Mr. Stark, I know you are upset now. But you should know, even if you return, she won't stop doing something to your family."

Mr. Stark looked at her. "Ms. Lawson, please help my family. It's a battle between you and her. Why did you get us involved? My family means everything to me. I don't want anything to happen to them. Please, Ms. Lawson."

Sophia thought Mr. Stark was right. The Stark family wouldn't have been implicated if it weren't for her.

"Mr. Stark, please keep calm and rational. Trust me. I'll rescue your family for sure." Sophia was still worried and reminded him, "Please do as I said. Or... I'm afraid I cannot save their lives."

With a thoughtful look, Mr. Stark nodded in agreement.

Sophia left the house and asked her men to watch him.

Mr. Stark was decent, but his family had been captured, so Sophia was worried he might do something irrational. She must keep an eye on him to prevent him from destroying her plan.

Meanwhile, she called Mr. Johns and asked him to visit Mr. Stark as soon as possible.

Much to her surprise, Mr. Stark managed to run away shortly after she left.

Sophia growled on the phone, "How can you fail to watch him? All of you! You idiots!"

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lawson. The point is we need to find Mr. Stark as soon as possible."

"Go to the Cannon Group."

"OK, Ms. Lawson."

Sophia knew Mr. Stark escaped to find Jessica and rescue his family.

However, he had been too irrational. All he had done couldn't save his family at all.

When Sophia arrived, she found it was too late. Jessica knew Mr. Stark would appear, so she was well prepared and captured him again.
