Chapter 659 I screwed up! That's what happened!

"What's the point of apology? I was in a good mood, but it has been ruined. I don't think you want to cooperate with me. That's it for today!" Having said that, Mr. Collins was about to leave.

The sales director caught up with him hurriedly, "Mr. Collins, you must've misunderstood! If there is anything wrong, let me apologize on her behalf. We have been business partners for so long. The cooperation can't be ended because of such trivial matters, right?"

Mr. Collins finally understood what was behind all this, "You! You guys knew she was inexperienced yet you treated me like this on purpose. Since I don't see any sincerity in your attitude, there will be no more cooperation! Goodbye!"

Mr. Collins walked away so fast that the sales director couldn't catch up with him this time.

Once he left, the sales director stared at Cathy, "Cathy, what's wrong with you? He is the biggest client of our company. But you blew off the cooperation. How can I explain to Ms. Lawson?"

Cathy couldn't believe her ears, "Explain what? You saw it! He kept groping me. I tried to ignore him but I couldn't tolerate what he was going to do when dancing. You saw it too, didn't you?"

The sales director looked at her speechlessly at first and then explained, "This is not uncommon. Besides, how can you blame me for this? You said you would negotiate with him. So, I just let you deal with him. But now you mess things up and you blame it on me. How can you be so unreasonable?"

"What?" Cathy stared at him unbelievably.

The sales director felt useless to explain more so he said, "Fine, I will say nothing to Ms. Lawson but the truth. What you can do is cross your fingers and hope that Mr. Collins will not end the cooperation. Otherwise, there's nothing I can help with." After saying that, he left, leaving Cathy alone, who was standing at a loss.

When Cathy came home, William, Bella, and the old Mrs. Lawson all waited for her good news. But her sad expression propelled them to ask, "What's wrong, Cathy? What happened?"

Cathy didn't say a word, which frightened the others and they asked hastily, "Cathy, weren't you out for business? Why do you look so sad?"

Cathy remained silent. The three of them grew anxious, "What happened, Cathy? Say something!"

"I screwed up! That's what happened!" Shouting, Cathy ran into her room, never showing up for the rest of the day.

The three of them looked at one another and finally, the old Mrs. Lawson said, "I think there is something fishy. I believed Sophia would treat Cathy well. But now it all seems like a trap."

"Mom, we don't know what happened after all. We'd better wait and see." William said drowsily; they have waited for Cathy for such a long time.

"Liar!" Cathy raised her voice. "You did it on purpose! You knew Grandma would cause trouble if you rejected her. So, you offered me the job first but then fired me with some excuses. You can not only get rid of me but also comfort Grandma. You are such a despicable woman, Sophia!"

Cathy continued, "But do you really think Grandma will believe you? You know what? You want to fire me today? Just do it! But soon you will find Grandma coming back to you furiously!"

Sophia was not afraid of this threat. Once she got a plan, she knew how to deal with difficulties. Therefore, she told Cathy, "You just go ahead and tell Grandma whatever you want." Saying that, Sophia focused on her work again, never casting another glance at Cathy.

"You'll see." Leaving another threat, Cathy walked out of the office.
