Chapter 976 Her Appetite Gets Better

Nicole looked at the ground without remarking on Colton's words.

It seems like Julia has gotten her life back on track.

Meanwhile, Nicole continued to have the sour straws candy. The extreme sourness eased the discomfort in her stomach.

Since she was enjoying the candies, Colton went to the kitchen and whipped up some food.

Nicole hadn't eaten anything all day. Every time she ate something, she felt sick and had the urge to retch. It always ended in her throwing up. Now, the candies had aroused her appetite. The aroma of food Colton was busy preparing became quite an enjoyment for her.

Nicole swallowed in anticipation. After having some candies, she could feel herself regaining a little strength.

On the other hand, Colton was very thoughtful. He set the chowder and the food on a tray before bringing them to her and putting them on the coffee table.

Nicole had a spoonful of chowder first. The softness of the chowder moisturized her throat and warmed her empty stomach.

The combination of the chowder and the snacks was appetizing. As a result, she finished a whole bowl of chowder on her own.

After the meal, she contentedly lay on the couch and yawned.

Her eyes watered as she yawned. Sleep gradually crept up on her. After getting pregnant, Nicole always got sleepy after a meal like a child normally would.

A huge and expensive chandelier hung from the ceiling. Its blinding lights stung her eyes. She narrowed her eyes to limit the light entering her eyes, but the lights falling on her eyelids were stinging all the same.

Thus, she simply blocked out the lights with an arm above her eyes. Fluttering her eyes closed, she took a nap.

After Colton cleaned up the table, he turned to watch Nicole, who was napping on the couch.

She wore an oversized long-sleeved shirt and a pair of tight black pants today. The tight pants did a good job of accentuating her curvy hips.

Nicole couldn't help but ruefully notice how steady his arms were. Even though I'm not heavy, the numbers don't lie. Back when she was staying in Lome, she faced life-threatening situations every day. Thus, her skills to fight another person improved a lot over the six months she spent in Lome.

Besides, she was tall and had defined muscles. Therefore, she was slightly heavier compared to ordinary women.

However, Colton always carried her with ease as if she had no weight. He could walk steadily in such a situation, and his arms never showed any hint of shaking.

"Don't be embarrassed in my presence," Colton answered in a hoarse voice as he carried her upstairs.

He put her on the bed before thoughtfully removing her shoes and socks. His thoughtfulness is too much! Nicole blushed at the sight, trying to get her legs free.

"Do you want to clean up? I can get you a wet towel," Colton suggested.

Nicole's cheeks were burning red at his suggestion. Shaking her head, she turned down his offer. "There's no need!"

I'm just a little weak. I'm still capable of taking care of myself! He doesn't have to do everything for me
