“Stand back,” James called out to Qairo.

A faint red light gleamed in Qairoʼs eyes. He stood there as he appeared to be processing his thoughts.

Just then, a voice rang in his head. “Stand back, and listen to that man for now.”

Qiyana transmitted her voice to Qairo from within the grounds of the holy land.

Despite being in a closed-door meditation, Qiyana was aware of what was happening outside since she would constantly check her surroundings.

Upon receiving Qiyanaʼs orders, Qairo stepped aside and moved to stand behind James.

James turned his eyes to Yui. “My father warned me that the Four Ancient Races of the Dark World were formidable forces that I should not be making enemies out of. I do not want to do that either, but I’m afraid I can’t let you enter this place today.”

“As I said, the Glaciesʼ princess hiding inside the Glaciem Holy Land must die today,” Yui said in a steely voice.

James dropped his gaze as he thought about what he could do to buy more time for their side.
