Lea’s face flushed after hearing James’ words. She lowered her head and said shyly, “Thank you.”

Latrusse interjected, saying, “What are you thinking him for? Don’t believe his bullshit. How could he break a formation that even I couldn’t?”

“Ungrateful bastard. I was kind enough to help you out, but you…” James complained.

Latrusse dropped his playful expression and asked, “How did you get the Flammae’s leader to let us go?”

“This isn’t a good place to talk. Let’s go somewhere else,” James said, then turned to leave.
