Hansel stayed quiet and stared at Mark.

Both of them were gambling, they wanted to see who would emerge the victor in this bet.

In the end, Mark lifted the boy in his hands, “I’ll deal with you later!”

He then carried Hansel to his car.

The man who brought Hansel here wanted to chase after him but the boy waved at him. “Go back and help the others.”

The man knew Hansel was not in danger, he nodded and drove off.

After putting Hansel in the car, Mark got into the driver’s seat.

“Daddy, 3 minutes, can you reach there in 3 minutes?” Hansel looked at Mark.

“Why are you so certain that I can make it in time?” Mark asked.

“Of course I’m certain!” Hansel said.

“You win this time!” Mark said as he drove off.

Hansel underestimated Mark’s driving speed because the scene before his eyes started to blur.

He did not doubt Mark’s driving skills at all but he quietly fastened his seatbelt just in case.

Three minutes later, they arrived at the destination.

The car stopped and Mark looked at him with a raised brow. “You don’t look scared.”

Hansel’s heart was pounding but when he heard what Mark said, he smiled in disdain. “There’s nothing to be scared of, I’m not alone in the car after all.”

He then opened the door and got down from the car but when he landed on his feet, his legs felt a little wobbly and he almost fell down. Fortunately, he got a hold of his balance and feigned a proud look, he acted like nothing had happened.

Mark grinned without saying a word. He too got out of the car.

The stalemate was at its breaking point, both sides were ready to make a move.

“Stop it!” Mark said.

Both sides looked to the source of the voice and saw Mark walking over. He was in a black outfit that complemented his long legs and prestigious presence. The black outfit also granted him an indescribable domineering aura that was unique to the night, as if he was a leopard hunting in the night and could jump on its prey any second.

Behind him was a boy of 7 years old. The boy had the same look to him, elegant and cute. He might be young but he too had the presence of a king, which was difficult to put in words.

When the two of them arrived, Piers attentively ran over. “Boss, you are here!”

Hansel raised a brow at Piers and then looked at Mark. “Daddy, can you tell your men to step down?”

“Sure, but on one condition.”

“What is that?”

“I want 5% of the profit.”

“No!” Hansel rejected.

“Okay then, this has nothing to do with me.” Mark shrugged and did not call his men off.

Hansel yelled, “Daddy, you are demanding too much! I’ve already given you the distribution rights, what else do you want?!”

“Yes, I’m raising the bar and I’m going full-on rascal on you. So, what do you have to negotiate terms with me?” Mark asked.

“Damn it, I’m your son!”

“There’s no father and son relationship on the battlefield!”

Hansel was rendered speechless. He knew his daddy would never deal in a losing business.

He had already given his daddy the distribution rights, if he gave up another 5% of profit, it would be difficult for him to face Orpheus and the others.

“What now, boss?” Piers asked.

Hansel noticed the gun in Piers’ hand, he snatched it and strode forward before he fired the gun repeatedly at the goods near the shore.

“Boss!” Piers shouted.

Someone else had already run towards the goods, attempting to protect it.

Mark quickly carried Hansel in his hands and bellowed, “What do you think you are doing?!”

“The ship is connected to explosives!”

“Then why are you shooting at it!?”

“Daddy, you are bullying me, I’d rather destroy the goods than let our father-son relationship die,” Hansel said. He then continued shooting the ship.

He had never received any shooting training, therefore his aim was lousy but what he wanted was a lousy aim.

If one of his shots hit the explosives on the ship, he would lose a great deal.

“Damn it!” Mark was furious, he knew Hansel was not joking.

Hansel looked at him and smiled. “Daddy, I’m just learning from you, being ruthless and all that. I think I did quite a good job.”

Mark’s son was exactly like him, the boy would never deal in a losing business either.

“If you keep shooting, you’ll attract the cops!” Mark said.

“I strongly believe daddy will never let me go behind bars.”

Hansel knew Mark’s weakness and he had clung on to it tightly.

The shooting continued until Mark eventually compromised.

“FINE!” He took the gun away from Hansel.

Hansel looked at him, “Does it mean you are letting us go, daddy?”

Mark stared at the body for quite a while, he realized he had nothing on the boy.

Hansel hugged him. “Thank you Daddy!”

Mark was speechless, he had nothing left in his mind to say.

Then, Hansel looked at Piers and said, “Unload the goods now! We are not waiting for the cops, are we?”

Piers finally regained his senses after what happened. He nodded and said, “Oh okay boss!”

He then quickly ordered the men to unload the goods.

Mark’s men stood there like statues without his order. They had guns in their hands but all they could do was watch the goods being unloaded by other men.

Mark looked as sour as he could be. Hansel chuckled and said, “Daddy, you don’t have to look sour. I might not have given you 5% profit of the profits, but I can give you another present.”

“What present?”

“I order-made a handgun, the K52. It’s precision is top notch at short and long range. I was actually keeping it for myself but since Daddy loves me so much, I decided to give it to you!”

Since the officers were already here, they could not just return empty-handed.

Hansel shook his head. “It has nothing to do with me, I don’t know anything.”

Of course, no one would suspect a kid would fire a gun and there was no adult other than Mark in the area, therefore the officers got their eyes on him.

“Locked up?” Mark grinned in disdain. “It depends whether you have what it takes to take us in!”

“Daddy, I’ve never been in a police cruiser before!” Hansel said meekly behind Mark.

“What’s good about a police cruiser?” Mark asked in disdain.

“I’ve never been inside!”

“Oh well.”

The father-son conversation was vexing.

“You bastards! Playing dumb are we? Take them in! They must have fired the gun! Take the two of them back!”

The leader of the group of officers glared at the two of them and was determined to teach them a lesson for being arrogant in front of the authorities.

Several officers walked over.

Mark and Hansel did not budge, they allowed the officers to have their way.

“Let’s go!”

Mark glared at one of the officers, “Don’t touch me, I can walk on my own!”

His simple bellow scared the officers for a moment.

While the officers were looking at each other awkwardly, Mark carried Hansel off the car and put the boy down. The two of them automatically walked to the police cruiser.

Hansel looked rather excited.

The officers in the cruisers glared at the two of them as they got in. They ought to teach the two a lesson back at the station.

“Daddy, this cruiser isn’t as comfortable as I thought,” Hansel said.

“Then why did you get in?”

“I’ve never been on one!”

“You stupid boy!” Mark commented.

The little duet between the father and son was so vexing that the officers could barely tolerate them.

“Shut up!”

“I know you police officers have to ‘police’ everything but you can’t stop us from chatting,” Hansel argued.

“You little!”

The boy’s quick-wits silenced everyone.

“Fine. Have it your way, you will know what you’re in for when we are back at the station!” said the officer.

Hansel feigned a terrified look and got into Mark’s arms, “Daddy, they threatened me! I’m so scared!”

“There there, you don’t have to be scared. I will make them pay for the mental damage they cause!”

Hansel’s eyes glistened and he looked at Mark greedily. “How much?”
