The doctor had good news: the baby was developing well, and Lydia finally felt a weight lift off her shoulders. 

This pregnancy had come as a surprise right after her recent miscarriage, and when she first found out, it felt almost unbelievable. 

As she walked out of the clinic, she unexpectedly ran into 

Rachel.

sent her to apologize to Meryl.

Suddenly, her phone rang incessantly. When she saw it was Christopher calling, her expression hardened slightly. 

Lydia excused herself, and Rachel considered hanging up out of nervousness but accidentally answered instead. 

“Rachel, I heard you got kicked out of the orchestra. 

“Are you okay? Do you have anywhere to stay? I can help you find a place.” Christopher’s voice came through, laced with 

concern.

“Rachel, Chandler has a family now. You can’t keep clinging to him like this; it’s not a good look for you.” 

Rachel shot back. “You’re about to marry Emilia, and you slept with me. What’s the difference?” 

Christopher was momentarily taken aback, not expecting such a fierce response from the usually gentle Rachel. 

But then again, it made sense; being the other woman would stir up feelings in anyone. 

“Rachel, I’m different. I truly love you. But Chandler doesn’t have those feelings for you.” 

With no desire to hear more, Rachel cut him off. “I have to go.” 

She hung up and turned to leave, completely unaware that jusť a wall away, a wheelchair was rolling by. 

Philip was pushing Felix, and he couldn’t bear to look at Felix’s expression.

Christopher had bumped into him, and that score was still unsettled. 

While he didn’t care much for Rachel, she was still his fiancée in
