Meryl shook her head gently, but then she heard Rachel’s voice break through the tension. 

“Chandler, I’m in so much pain! I think I’m disfigured!” 

Chandler’s attention shifted to Rachel, and his eyes widened at the sight. 

There was blood on the floor; it was unclear where she had hurt herself, but the alarming spread of bright red was enough to make anyone wince.

Chandler glanced at Rachel, and her guilty expression didn’t escape him. 

She cradled her head as she cried delicately, “Chandler, do you want to see me bleed to death?” 

His attention snapped back to her. 

Her face was pale, and even her lips had lost their color.

Meryl didn’t bother defending herself; she was too stunned by Rachel’s theatrics. 

Chandler’s frown deepened as he noticed Meryl’s silence. He mused, “Was it really her who pushed Rachel?” 

“Meryl, just stay home and wait for me. I’ll be back soon.” 

With that, Chandler supported Rachel, and they hurried out of the house together.
