(Secret Love Chapter 16 

“Shaw?” Julia’s hand trembled slightly when she heard that. 

“Yes, are you at Denver now?” Director Thompson continued. 

Julia didn’t expect that. 

“I’m not. Sir, I thought I told you not to tell him where I was.”

Director Thompson sighed slightly. After all, they were both his subordinates. 

Bat you have been lovers for five years. You can’t just disappear. Talk to him when you get back.” 

Hanging up the phone, Julia didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. 

Even Director Thompson knew she was Shaw’s girlfriend. She had waited a long time for this day, but when it came, she didn’t want it anymore. 

What was Shaw doing? Pretending to be a good boyfriend? 

But he didn’t know if she still needed it. 

Julia left the airport directly to her aunt’s house in Zurich. 

Julia had had a weak relationship with her parents since childhood, but she was close to her aunt. Her aunt used to tell her that she was too good for a man who didn’t want to tell people he was not available. 

She didn’t believe it before, but it turned out that her aunt was right. 

When Julia arrived at Mary’s house, it was already nine o’clock in the evening. 

Mary had made her a table of delicious food. 

Looking at the dishes, Julia felt so warm. She seldom had a home–cooked meal since she became a pilot. 

Occasionally, she would cook, but Shaw said it was troublesome. Gradually, she quit it. “Hurry up and enjoy it.” Mary greeted her warmly. 

“Okay.” 

Mary had immigrated to Switzerland for ten years, and Julia hadn’t seen her for ten years. She felt really nice to see her again. 

After a meal, Mary asked, “How are you and Shaw doing now?” 

Julia paused. She had only told Mary about Shaw’s cheating. She said, “We broke up.” 

Mary nodded.“That’s good. I always felt that he was unreliable. I feel happy for you.” 

This night, Julia slept at Mary’s house. It was the best sleep she had had in a while. 

When Julia woke up the next day, it was already 10 a.m. 

She went downstairs. Mary had already finished her breakfast. She sat on the sofa in the living room and pointed to the food on the bar.“Breakfast is there. Talk with me after eating.” 

Julia walked over.“Why didn’t you wake me up?”
