I received Ethan and Mia's wedding invitation. The wedding was set for ten days later.

I smiled with satisfaction.

Finally, after they got married, I could put my plan into action.

First, Mia discovered the health check report and made a scene in front of Ethan's parents.

It was only then that Ethan's parents learned that Mia wasn't pregnant, it was just Ethan's lie to make them sell the house.

Ethan's mother cried her heart out and fell ill in bed.

Ethan's father chain-smoked cigarettes, cursing Ethan as worse than a beast, his hair turning white overnight.

Mia ran to her friend to complain, got dead drunk, hating herself for trusting the wrong person.
