Not long after the argument with Ethan, the "necessary expense"

came!

A couple of days ago, his mother called me.

Said she felt unwell in her chest and wanted to come to the city for a check-up.

As the well-known filial son in their village, Ethan naturally spared no effort when his mother was coming.

He went to the train station to pick her up himself and even spent a "huge sum" on a taxi for her, it could be said he was "devoting his heart and soul".
