"Mr. Gulliford, Mr. Whiteburn is here." This sentence attracted the attention of Trevor and Jessica.

Without needing any further explanation, both of them knew Mr. Whiteburn was Alfred.

"That's all for today." Trevor closed his laptop as he massaged his wrist before leaving the room.

It's been so long since I chatted with Alfred. It's great that he visited me on his own accord, Trevor thought.

Jessica was worried, though. She was afraid that Alfred would reveal her identity to everyone else. If that happened, it wouldn't be possible for her to retrieve the assets belonging to the Queen family.

Alfred walked into the room while Trevor walked forward.

They exchanged dagger-like stares with each other as they locked eyes.

"Are you busy, Mr. Gulliford?" Alfred broke the silence.

Without waiting for Trevor to respond, he strode toward the couch and plopped down.

"Not really. But, I'm not as free as Mr. Whiteburn. You are so free that you can come to my house just like that." Trevor shook his head reflexively, noticing the gangster-like man in front of him.

To him, Alfred was not a man that could be his love rival. Trevor was just worried that Jessica would be grateful to him. After all, Alfred had been taking care of her all these years.

"Ahh! I didn't want to come, but I had no choice. My family instructed me to do so. I bet you know that Leah is my cousin. Old Mr. Gulliford has expressed his wish for you two to marry. I know both of you are a match made in heaven!" Alfred explained. He leaned against the couch while crossing his legs.
