Trevor placed his hands on her shoulder and shook her gently. However, when he noticed that Jessica was still panting heavily, he quickly called for Martin and brought her to the hospital.

"Did I torment her so much that she's now in this state? What should I do?" Trevor thought as he stood there in a daze.

"Don't worry too much for this is just a speculation. We will carry out a thorough examination once the patient wakes up," the doctor comforted him. However, Trevor could not bring himself to answer. He merely nodded and went into the room.

As he saw how frail and weak Jessica looked on the bed, Trevor slowly bent down next to her.

"What should I do to not hurt you? Did you end up this way because you saw that I was sad? Should I let you go? Should I stay away from you and look at you from afar?" he thought sadly.

"But I can't do it. I really can't. I nearly lost my mind during those three years when you weren't by my side. I felt like I was a zombie every night. It's only when I see you that I feel like I'm truly living. It doesn't matter what you become for you will always be the most beautiful person in my eyes.
