"Come on. Let's go." Jessica helped him up from the chair.

Trevor lightly pushed her hands away and caught her wrist with his slender fingers, then lifted her in a bridal carry.

"Let go of me. What are you doing? Do you know how dangerous this is?"

She was slightly panicked. Is this man insane? Does he know what situation we are in? We don't even know how many people are watching us nearby. Yet, he has the mood to carry me now? She admonished inwardly.

"Don't argue. I'm pretty exhausted now," he said in a deep voice, completely disregarding her words.

When they returned to the hotel, Trevor placed Jessica on the couch and picked up the cup of water on the table to take a sip.

She lowered her head. It was all her fault that he was abducted.

He turned to eye her meaningfully while the hand holding the drink loosened.

"Mr. Gulliford, I admit I was wrong for hitting you, but it was because you disrespected me. That was your fault," she stated.

To her, right was right, and wrong was wrong.

"Mm." He nodded, put down the drink, and approached her.

In the next second, he squatted down before her obediently. "I was wrong. I won't do it again."
