Startled, Jessica immediately sat back in her seat obediently.

"Emmm... It's okay not to play. Anyway, I'm not very good at volleyball."

She wondered why Trevor kept picking on her.

"Is this man so controlling over every woman he comes across?" she thought.

The man's mood brightened up a little when he saw Jessica sitting down obediently. His slender fingers tapped intermittently on the table.

Martin came over from a distance and said in a low voice, "Mr. Gulliford, Bennett is here."

Jessica's eyes lit up when she heard that.

"Bennett is here? Awesome! Watching Bennett is certainly much more important than joining a volleyball match. Fantastic!" she cheered in her mind.

"All right. Bring him over. Let him take a break tonight. He doesn't need to study," Trevor said while secretly peeking at Jessica's reaction.

Martin nodded and left. Soon after, Bennett was brought over by personnel.

Jessica looked intently at her son. The little boy three years ago had grown into a handsome young man. She somehow felt a little touched and excited about this discovery.

Although her son had not been around her for the past three years, she could still feel his excellence.

"Mr. Gulliford, you must be tired. Do you want something to drink?" Jessica stood up and said, her eyes riveted on the boy affectionately.

"Look at my boy! He's so cute!" she thought.

"It's all right. Thank you."

After living with Trevor for three years, Bennett had learned to ignore others' flattery toward him. He knew their gestures were not out of sincerity but as a means to please his father.

"No worries. Let me know if you need anything."

Even Leah at the side was puzzled by Jessica's overzealous attitude toward Bennett.

"Is this woman a fool? She didn't even smile at a handsome and rich man like Trevor. Why is she so enthusiastic about this child? Is there really someone in this world who is dumb enough to want to be Trevor's daughter-in-law? I certainly hope not so," Leah pondered.
