Stella found herself cornered, forced to tilt her head back as the man before her advanced with each step. Remington's dress shoes crushed the bouquet on the floor as he gripped Stella's neck and pushed her into the hospital room. With a loud slam, he kicked the door shut behind him.

"Stella? Who's there?" Martin, lying in the hospital bed, stirred at the noise and slowly sat up, calling out. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the scene at the doorway. Stella was being choked, her toes barely touching the ground as she staggered in.

"Mmph...ugh!" Stella grasped at Remington's hand, her back pushed against the wall. She couldn't speak, her legs struggling, eyes wide with terror.

"Remington! What the hell are you doing? Let go of Stella, now!" Martin hastily got out of bed and rushed over in panic, his face a mix of shock and urgency. But his strength was no match for Remington's firm grip on Stella.

"Mmph..." Stella whimpered, tears streaming down and falling onto Remington's hand, veins bulging with exertion. Remington frowned, a look of disgust in his eyes. Stella struggled to breathe, her face turning a deep shade of red, veins on her forehead standing out, eyes filled with horror. She could also smell the metallic scent of blood on him, finally noticing the stains on his white shirt sleeve and black suit jacket. Remington seemed like a grim reaper, and Stella felt death drawing closer.

Just as Martin was about to rush out for help, Remington finally released his grip. Stella's legs gave way, and she collapsed to the floor, coughing violently.

Stella, leaning on the wall, managed to stand up. Her face was still unnaturally red, with striking marks on her neck. Tears streamed down her face, making her look vulnerable and innocent. She turned to Remington, "Remington, cough... Have you misunderstood something? I...cough, I was at Lanson’s place all of last night. Besides, I don’t know Hans, how could I be involved in this...?"

Remington's gaze suddenly sharpened. "How did you know it was Hans who tried to kidnap Liz?" Stella’s heart skipped a beat, realizing her slip-up. Remington hadn't mentioned Hans's name since he arrived. But Stella was quick to cover, turning to Martin, "It was my dad, he was worried about Liz.
