The silhouette of the woman had long vanished from the doorway before Remington realized the significance of her words. She had, in a roundabout way, agreed to give him a chance.

A smile, uncontrollable and wide, spread across his lips as he lowered his gaze, his spirits visibly soaring despite his attempt to maintain composure.

"Wow, Remi, you're all lovesick this early in the morning. Seems like your quest to win your wife back has made some significant headway," came a teasing voice from the doorway.

Lifting his eyes, Remington saw Timothy leaning casually against the doorframe, looking as dashing as ever in a casual white suit, fiddling with his sunglasses.

A step behind him, Cassius looked far less cheerful. Dressed in a dark, hooded tracksuit, his demeanor was cold as ice, as if he could pull a knife out of his pocket at any moment and give you a chill straight to the heart.

Both men were tall and broad, nearly blocking the doorway, making it impossible for Cedric, who was carrying a food basket, to get through.

"If you're not coming in, at least move aside. What kind of scene are you trying to set at the hospital door?" Cassius bumped into Timothy as he made his way into the room, only to be grabbed by Timothy and dragged along to the bedside.

"Look at our great actor here, Cassius. He's got that 'my heart's been broken and now I'm hormonal' look. Walking around with him, I'm afraid the security might think we're here to cause trouble and kick us out," Timothy joked.

Cassius's expression turned even colder as he shrugged off Timothy's arm and sat down on the couch, retorting, "Remi needs his rest. Are you here to visit or to disturb him?"

Remington, with a relaxed look that had replaced his usual stern demeanor, actually patted Timothy's shoulder and said, "There is progress. Although it's a bit early for wedding bells, Liz has indeed agreed to let me pursue her."

Timothy wasn’t surprised at all by this revelation; he had come prepared. After accidentally letting something slip to Lizetta before, he had been worried about any potential fallout between her and Remington. So, he made sure to keep an eye on Remington's activities over the past few days.

Learning that Remington and Lizetta had spent a night together in the cemetery, Timothy arrived first thing in the morning, ready to either take credit for any positive developments or apologize for any mishaps.

Seeing Remington's radiant smile at the hospital door, Timothy knew his visit was well-timed.
