“Are you certain you want me to look into this matter?” Frederick asked, his voice laced with hesitation after hearing her request.

Freya responded with unwavering conviction. “Yes.”

Though confused by her insistence, Frederick nodded. “I’ll handle it.”

“Forward me any information you discover,” she instructed.

“Of course.”

After concluding their conversation, Freya set her phone aside, pulled the blanket over herself, and drifted into sleep.

The following morning, she awoke to a message from Frederick, which read, “I spent the entire night investigating but found nothing significant. The only woman who approached him appears to be a friend of Felipe Yates’s.”
