I looked down at the beer sat in front of me. I pushed my chair back and said, I was going outside for a smoke. I walked out the back door and lit a joint. I walked over and sat in a chair on the patio. I leaned my head back and looked at the stars. I didn't even look over to see who walked out the back door. I didn't look at who sat down. I just smoked my joint. I got to the end touched it to my tongue and put it in my mouth and chewed it while I lit a cigarette. Look, Luna is it? I'm sorry for being such an ass. I stared at the jerk without blinking or changing my expression. I didn't know. And your point I asked?
Look, I am trying to apologize here. I don't want your apology. I don't want anything from one damn club member here. I was ordered here tonight for some dam reason and once I find out what the fuck it is I am going to go to my RV behind the garage and watch TV, get high, get drunk and go to bed alone. I stood up and walked into the club. I walked over and sat down. I looked at my mother and said. Just what was so important that I just had to be here tonight? Just then the lights went out and a birthday cake was carried out and placed in front of me. I saw red. I balled my hands into fists. I looked up and said. Don't you think it is 20 years too late for this bull shit? I stormed out the front door and walked to my RV. I opened the door and locked it behind me. I pushed the button on the wall sliding the metal door across the opening and shutting the doors to the windows.
I slid down onto the floor and screamed. Why now. No one had ever cared about me before. I don't want anything from them. Not one damn thing. They can kiss my ass. I walked over and turned the air conditioner on before grabbing some beers and walking over to the couch and sitting down. I turned on the TV and kicked my boots off. I grabbed a joint and lit it. They thought they could make up for all the years I missed. Not happening.
In the club it was quiet. I told you not to do this. Rider we thought she deserved it. She deserved it all from the time she was born. But not one goddam one of you ever celebrated Luna's birth. None of you. You just made everything worse. So help me god if she starts cutting again I will destroy this club. None of you ever were there for her. No one in this club. Savage and Lisa were always there for her. Savage's club was there for her. But not one damn member of this club was. Accept me. And you want to know why we both hate you mom and dad and every member here. I stormed out of the club got on my bike and rode out of the compound.
We might as well eat the cake and ice cream. Not let it go to waste. I looked over at Kathy and told her. If we knew this is what you planned Savage and I would never have come. Don't you think it is 20 years too late to celebrate her birthday Kathy? I stood up and looked at Savage. Let's go. This was a farce. We walked out of Ryder's MC. I was still furious when we entered our clubhouse. Once our members heard what had happened they too were angry.
