Jay’s attractive features darkened further.

"People, I want these flowers thrown out." Jay’s tone was sinister.

Suddenly hearing Jay's voice, Rose shot up in shock.

Seeing as he had once again brought her to tears, Jay felt the flames of frustration lick in his chest.

"Who sent them?" he asked coldly.

"A friend," Rose replied.

"Boyfriend?"

Rose neither nodded nor shook her head.

Rose stared dazedly at the man before her. 'Didn't he say he’s quit smoking?’
