Alice glanced at the doorway, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. It was time to end this. She knew Blake’s personality; if she didn’t submit, he’d never stop. Now that she had the clues from Ethan, she wouldn’t hesitate. 

That night, they filmed the outdoor scene in an abandoned building. The scene depicted the villainous female supporting character luring the heroine into danger, only for the hero to save the day. 

After filming, Alice waited to get her makeup removed but was completely ignored by the makeup artist. The crew’s animosity was palpable. Chloe’s whispers were undoubtedly fueling the situation, but Alice didn’t care. She wasn’t interested in the entertainment industry anyway. When everyone had left, Alffe had to remove her own makeup. As she prepared to leave, Blake appeared, his face grim. 

“Alice! Stop right there!” His voice was dangerous. “I heard you’ve gathered dirt on me, planning to expose me and ruin my career?”

Alice was cornered. Turning to face Blake, she said, ‘So, all these years, you’re still the same? resorting to violence whenever things don’t go your way.” 

“When you were disobedient as a kid, I beat you for your own good,” he said, advancing slowly, the stun gun glinting in his hand. He sneered. Run. Why don’t you run?” Alice’s voice was steady. “You’re a huge star now. Are you not worried about the scandal?” “As long as those things don’t get out, I’m untouchable,” he said. He approached her.“This beating is a lesson. You’ve been causing so much trouble at home while I was away. Don’t you think you’ve done wrong?” 

“I haven’t done anything wrong. Alice retorted. 

Before she finished, Blake struck. Alice fell, clutching her arm. They’re the ones breaking the law What does that have to do with me?” 

“Alice, you think the family is biased, but look at what you’ve done!” 

“Oh really? I topped the entrance exams, but you forced me to attend a local college. This is your so–called ‘for your own good?” Alice glared at him. “Want this good? Have it.” Blake didn’t hesitate; he continued his assault. He’d waited a long time for this Alice shielded her head, her voice choked with tears.“Brother, please stop! It hurts! “Feeling the pain now? Too late. Weren’t you so defiant before?” 

“Brother, I’ll be good! I’ll do whatever you say. I’ll drop out of Cloud University and return home. I’ll do anything you want!”

He stopped, squatting before her. “See? I warned you so many times. You didn’t believe me. Now you know the consequences.” 

Alice, face buried in her hands, continued to sob. Blake smiled, softening his tone. “Don’t cry. Brother was just teaching you a lesson. I wouldn’t really kill you. You’re my only sister.” 

Suddenly, Alice removed her hands, her face dry. She looked at Blake with a radiant smile. 

A chill ran down Blake’s spine. He felt a knot of dread tighten in his chest. “What are you smiling about? Not satisfied yet?” 

Chloe, breathless and disheveled, rushed up the stairs.“Brother! The video… she recorded at 

video.” 

Blake’s face drained of color. He looked down at Alice, snatched the hidden camera from her collar, and crushed it under his heel. His voice was laced with chilling rage. “You dared to set me up! Alice, you’re asking for it!” 

Alice shoved him away.“You’re finished, not me.” 

“Ha! The video is gone. What are you going to blackmail me with?” He calmly crushed the camera, looking for the memory card. 

Chloe burst into 

tears.“Brother, she was live–streaming! Many people saw it!” 

The camera was useless now. 

“Live–streaming?!” Blake’s face turned ashen. How was that even possible? He checked his phone; countless calls and messages from his manager, reminding him of Alice’s live stream. But he’d silenced his phone to focus on his “lesson.” 

He trembled, a wave of terror washing over him. If it was live–streamed, considering Alice’s fanbase, the video would have gone viral. 

Cold sweat drenched Blake. He’d never been this terrified. He was finished. He knew the industry rules better than anyone; this kind of negative news was catastrophic.
