Alice was startled to see Noah at the car window. What did he want? Jackson’s expression darkened, he found the Windhams increasingly irritating

Noah glared at Jackson.“Alice, why are you with him?”

“He’s not suitable. He’s mysterious, has a mundane job, and is after your status.” Noah had always disliked Jackson, especially since he’d been a school doctor and followed Alice to San Francisco. It was obvious he was clinging to her. 

Alice scoffed.“I like him.” 

“Alice, you’re young. We weren’t good to you, so he took advantage, showering you with attention. But I see him for who he is: a bad guy.” 

“Enough. Whether he’s good or bad isn’t your concern.” 

Noah turned to Jackson. “I warn you, don’t touch a hair on her head, or the Windhams will make 

you pay. 

“What makes the Windhams so special?” Jackson’s voice was frigid.“She almost got assaulted last night. That’s your idea of kindness? That ‘kindness‘ deserves years in prison. Who wants your 

kindness?” 

Noah was speechless, his hand gripping the car door. ‘Last night wast an accident.” 

“So many accidents with the Windhams? I hope those accidents fall on your brothers. Alice’s with me; there will be no accidents.” 

Jackson sped off. Noah chased after the car.“Alice, stop! I need to talk to you.” Alice ignored him.

Relieved, Jackson agreed. 

Alice messaged the PR team; they’d meet at the gym.

to the boxing area. Alice held up her red gloves.“I love this gift.” She looked at Jackson, her eyes lingering on his lips, remembering their interrupted kiss. He leaned down.“I want a gift, too.”

“But they’re here. It’s not good.” She whispered. 

“They arrived earlier. No rush.” 

She blushed, listening to is strong heartbeat, remembering their kiss, her mind blank. 

He finally released her. She fled, blushing. He chuckled softly. 

Alice saw the PR team on treadmills. Rima approached.“We didn’t want to interrupt. We’re exercising too; it’s good for us.” 

Alice apologized for keeping them waiting. 

“It’s fine. The gym’s
