Chapter 315
Alice had underestimated Fifth Brother’s shamelessness. Had he always been this shameless? She hadn’t had much interaction with him in her past life. Chloe had been with Garrett Yates, focused on marrying into the Yates family, so there was no mention of Fifth Brother and Chloe.
Finn yelled, “Alice, I’m your brother! Are you really so unwilling to pay?”
“You think you deserve it?” Alice didn’t want to waste any more time and left the private room.
She heard Finn demanding money from Luke, mentioning his childhood allowance and asking for it back. Alice laughed; Fifth Brother was unbelievably shameless. She’d had enough of the Chloe show for one day. After today, she was curious to see if Ethan would continue to tolerate Chloe and his “blood is thicker than water” nonsense. Honestly, she was looking forward to it.
Alice reached the entrance of Pear Orchard and glanced back at the private room where she’d had dinner with Jack. They’d kissed by the window.
Suddenly, a line of luxury cars pulled up, stunning her. Someone important must be dining here. She instinctively moved aside, but several bodyguards in black suits approached her. What was happening?
unison, “Miss, please get in the car.”
The bodyguards lined up, speaking in
speaking in unison, “Miss,
Alice was startled.“Are you mistaken?”
“Miss Windham, Madam Wilson sent us to pick you up.”
Madam Wilson? Alice thought about her relationship with Jack. After encountering Madam Wilson and Julia in the elevator at Pear Orchard, Madam Wilson must know who she is. She guessed what Madam Wilson wanted.
A WhatsApp message arrived from Madam Wilson: [The driver is mine. Don’t worry.]
Alice got into the car without hesitation.
“Alice, where are you going?” Alice saw the Windham family members leaving Pear Orchard; Finn and Chloe looked terrible. She wondered who ended up paying the bill. Alice ignored Luke and left.
Luke chased after the car, anxiously calling Alice, but she didn’t answer. “Sixth Brother, where did, Alice go?”
Chloe was envious of the car fleet. The cars were expensive. Who picked Alice up?
Luke looked at the cars,
cars, worried. “I don’t know. She didn’t answer my call.
Finn approached in his wheelchair, covered in food. “I underestimated Alice. She’s becoming increasingly arrogant. Did she find a powerful backer?”
Chloe wondered. “But she doesn’t have any known backers. Could it be Madam Wilson?”
Finn sneered. “Madam Wilson is a VIP. There’s no way she’d send a car for Alice. Does that dead girl think she’s that important?”
Chloe agreed. Alice couldn’t be that influential.
Luke, still worried, texted Alice: [Whose car did you take? Call me if anything happens.]
Alice glanced at the message but didn’t reply. She didn’t need to tell the Windham family about her relationship with the Wilson family.

Chapter 315
Soon, Alice arrived at a beauty salon. It was high–end. Someone approached her.“Miss Windham, please follow me.”
Alice changed into a robe and entered a private room, where she found Madam Wilson lying on a chair, wearing a face mask.
“Alice, you came!” Madam Wilson sat up. Try lying down too. This salon’s techniques are good.”
Before Alice could react, she was on a reclining chair, having things applied to her face and ‘receiving a massage.
Alice felt nervous and confused. Madam Wilson knew about her and Jack. Shouldn’t Madam Wilson be giving her a check to leave Jack? She didn’t understand Madam Wilson’s actions.
After the massage, Alice felt relaxed. She sat up.“You didn’t just call me for a massage, did you?”
You’re right. There’s something else.” Madam Wilson clapped, and several people brought gift bags, surrounding Alice.
Alice looked at the bags. “Madam Wilson, just say what you want to say. No need for all this build–up.”
Madam Wilson gestured for them to leave. She sighed, looking at Alice. “I know this might make things awkward.” Before knowing Alice’s identity, she liked her.
