Alice turned at the familiar voice and saw Jack walking towards her across the lawn. The lights illuminated his sharp features. His arrival drew attention; he was a highly sought–after bachelor. Rumors of his broken engagement with the Garcia family heiress had everyone buzzing. 

Jack reached 

Alice, his gaze soft.“Sorry I’m late.” Alice was speechless. 

Whispers rippled through the crowd.“Is the girlfriend Master Wilson mentioned the Windham heiress?” 

“Yes! I heard his girlfriend was a gamer streamer.” 

“I thought it was just a rumor!” 

Alice remained silent. Jack, standing beside her, addressed Mrs. Parker. “My girlfriend was here with an invitation to her friend’s birthday party. Mrs. Parker tried to throw her out. Is there a misunderstanding?” 

Mrs. Parker hadn’t expected Jack to be here. Wasn’t he supposed to be at the hospital with his grandmother? She forced a smile. “Mr. Wilson, you misunderstand.” 

“Mrs. Parker, please clarify,” Jack said coldly, ready to defend Alice. Mrs. Parker hadn’t expected Jack to publicly acknowledge Alice as his girlfriend. 

Mrs. Parker stammered, “There’s no misunderstanding. I welcome all invited guests.” “But I heard you ordering her to leave. There must be a reason,” Jack pressed, his gaze unwavering. 

Mrs. Yates stepped in “Mr. Wilson, don’t press Mrs. Parker. The Windhams made a fool of themselves. Some people have the nerve to stay after that?” She was furious. Chloe’s clinginess to Her son had caused this mess. She hated the Windhams and Alice. They’d all latch onto rich men.

“My girlfriend has severed ties with the Windhams. Their actions don’t reflect on her,” Jack_ stated, having learned about the events. He suspected Alice was behind the leaked video, but the Windhams had brought it on themselves.

Jack looked at her coldly.“Mrs. Yates, I have a question: Does Mr. Yates always undress himself?”
