"By the way, Dr. Lane, our staff haven't been able to find the phone you dropped in the sea two days ago, so as an apology, I can only buy you a new one."

Jane took out and handed Cora the new phone she had prepared.

As Cora looked at the latest phone, her eyes lit up.

"What's wrong, Dr. Lane? Do you not like it? Should I get you a different one? We really couldn't find that phone. Our staff searched the beach for a long time but couldn't locate it. It was probably taken away by the sea during low tide," Jane explained.

In fact, Jane's tone and demeanor were very sincere, and Cora had no definite evidence to prove any connection between Jane and her lost phone.
