[Arissa's POV]

I bit back my yelp of shock as Ivan began to lead me away from his father and his father's beta. No matter how I tried to swing it, I had started this act and needed to see it through until we were finally alone. Once that happened, I would simply escape.

"Don't even think about it." Ivan chuckled too close to my ear. "You've got me all riled up and are going to do something about it."

Shit, I had woken the beast and I was too weak to truly fight my way out.

Letting out an irritated huff, I found myself regretting using my abilities to their max to help this pervert. Sure, killing those hunters and torturing the beautiful Gisele had been a rush, but now I was left helpless.

"You know I wasn't being serious, right?" I shot back as we rounded the corner and began to make our way towards Ivan's room."

"Doesn't matter. You used me to taunt my old man. Now it is my turn to use you."

Use? What exactly was running through this man's head?

When we arrived at Ivan's room, his fuck buddy Carina was there scantily dressed. When her eyes flicked to us and took in our position, they darkened and her red lips fell into a frown.

"What are you doing here at this hour?" Ivan asked, taking her in. "I don't recall calling for you."

Now was my chance! With Carina here to help Ivan, I could escape!

"Since you seem to have company…" I began, starting to try to untangle his arm from around me. "I should…"

"Nope," Ivan smirked. "You stay and," he continued shifting his eyes to Carina. "You should leave."

I felt shock run through me at what Ivan had just said. Why was he telling the woman he was always fucking to go away? It didn't make sense.

"But, I came all the way here." Carina tried, lifting her large eyes to Ivan's. "Are you really going to make me leave?" Moving forward, she lifted a hand and prepared to touch Ivan's arm, but stopped as a growl of warning left his lips.

"I vaguely remember telling you that I would no longer be needing you." He rumbled icily. "Now, leave!"

I watched with wide eyes as Carina flinched back due to Ivan's harsh tone. What the hell was I witnessing right now?

"I-Ivan…."

"I SAID LEAVE!"

A small whimper escaped Carina as tears began to well in her eyes. After a long moment of staring at Ivan with longing, she finally turned and ran away as sobs escaped her.

Keeping my gaze fixed on her shaking frame, I continued to watch until she turned down a corridor, disappearing entirely. Now all that was left, was Ivan and myself.

"Um…" I began, unable to keep my thoughts to myself. "Why did you just scare away your friend with benefits? How are you supposed to get your jollies off now?"
