"Who dares to ransack my place?!"
Fabian was also getting anxious. He had no idea when those men got in and out of his place.
Now Elijah publicly proclaimed that he wanted to search Fabian's house in front of his henchmen. Where could he hide his face if he allowed Elijah to do so?
Fabian straightened his back and stared Elijah down. The two men stared at each other, and neither would back down.
On the other end, Maria and Michelle were still brawling. The two women's hair was a mess. At this moment, the phone that they were fighting over suddenly rang.
The two of them froze for a moment before they grappled with each other for the phone.
Ultimately, Maria managed to hold onto her phone and finally broke free. After stepping aside, she answered the call. "Hello? Hello?"
"What?!" Her terrified face and sudden, raised voice caused everyone's attention to turn toward her.
Even Michelle, who was about to pounce on Maria again, was stunned momentarily as she stood frozen in place.
"Is this a scam?! Bullsh*t!" Maria flew into a rage and hung up the phone abruptly.
However, everyone could see that she was shaken as her whole body trembled. It was as if her soul had been sucked out of her body, and her eyes looked like empty sockets.
"Who was that?" Fabian asked when he noticed the disturbed look on his wife's face.
"What's the matter with you? Why are you acting so weird?" Fabian didn't understand why she was reacting this way.
Maria would usually be the first to rush over when she saw that Rhea was calling. Why did it seem like she was too scared to answer now?
"Great! Didn't you say that she's not home? Since she took the initiative to call, we'll just ask here," Elijah said coldly as he turned to look at Fabian. "Put it on speakers if you have nothing to hide."
"Although I have nothing to hide, I don't have to prove it to you, do I?" Fabian snapped unhappily, holding his phone in his hand. "This is my daughter calling me. Why should I let you all hear our conversation?"
Elijah sneered. "It seems like you feel that your daughter can do what she did. That's why you're scared!"
