Although it’s easier to catch the organization, having no evidence of what’s happening inside the lab would be pointless. On top of that, Alex is right. What if they have already begun spreading some sort of virus or worse?

‘The last plague has caused a lot of trouble, and the aftermath of it still lingers. What if there is a more terrible virus?’ A chill ran down Dominic's spine as he sighed and kept quiet.

Even so, he still felt it was too risky for Lily to go there.

"Don't worry. I will try my best to prevent this from happening," Alexander said, comforting the old man after seeing the saddened look on his face.

Unexpectedly, Dominic looked up and glared at Alexander. "Who cares about that?! As long as you two are safe and remember you still have children to look after, that's all that matters. You two aren't the saviors of the world!"

Alexander smiled when he heard this. These were the exact words he said to Lily as well. In the face of danger, she must remember she wasn't alone, and her family was waiting for her back home. With that in mind, she would think before she threw herself into danger.

"Thank you, Mr. Fike."

He knew this was Dominic's way of agreeing to care for Galen. Therefore, Alexander got up to thank him and bowed to show his respect.

The older man did not stand up since he was still upset. Instead, he looked at Alexander and said, "I don't care how respectful you are. I will only take the child for half a month at most. If you don't come and pick him up two weeks later, I'll send him to the orphanage! No, I'll sell him to the boondocks!"

Hearing this, the older man was dumbfounded. He nodded repeatedly and said, "Yes, you're right. It is against the law to sell children. You little devil, how can I have the heart to sell you? I love you too much to do that!"

He rubbed his nose against Galen's chubby cheeks as he said this.

Galen giggled, and it dispelled all of Galen's anger.

"Okay, you can leave now! Just call me if there's anything else." Dominic's harsh words had no effect at all now. He looked at Alexander and said, "Also, tell that brat she can ask me for help if needed. She doesn't have to carry the world on her shoulders!"
