Provoking the man was a risk Lily decided to take. On the surface, she appeared calm, stroking her belly lightly, but her fist clenched subconsciously. She had to be alert to prevent them from poisoning or tricking her.

Mike gulped subtly and glanced at the man through his peripheral vision, observing every change in his expression. The man smirked and squinted as he stared at Lily. He let out his signature shrill and ear-piercing laughter a few seconds later. “Hahaha!”

Mike had no words while Lily turned her head to the side and dug her ears.

“You’re right! No one knows what will happen tomorrow or even the next second!” The man appeared to agree with Lily. “Still, I can assure you one thing. If you dare to play tricks with me, I will ensure an accident falls upon your family! Even if I’m going to die, I will drag a few people down with me!”

With that, he let out boisterous laughter again.

Lily stared at him with pursed lips while her fingers dug into her palms. It was painful. She only wanted to pounce and choke him to death with her bare hands or use her kickboxing skills to torture him. However, her rationality stopped her from acting on her emotions.
