In Chapter 1912, a key moment in the Romance novel Spoiled by Mr. Russell, Luminous Night delivers powerful storytelling, emotional shifts, and critical plot development. This chapter deepens the reader’s connection to the characters and sets the stage for upcoming revelations.

The secret room was not large but had a bed, sofas, bedding, tables, a coffee maker, etcetera. The eeriest thing was a row of transparent jars on the left-hand side tables. It was hard to distinguish the things submerged in the murky liquid inside these jars, but their shapes and colors were unsettling.

Heavily tied up on the floor on the right was the mysterious and vicious man who had been bossing them around.

Completely still, he seemed asleep or passed out, but the banging just now had come from here.

Lily raised her eyebrows and asked, “Is he dead?”

Edward shook his head.

Mike went over and lowered his head to take a look. “I don’t think so.”

Then he looked toward Edward. “How did you catch him? Were you the one who struck down the bodyguards outside?”

Edward nodded slightly. Although those people were not easy to deal with, they were not his match. Mike gave him a thumbs-up and lowered his head to stare at the man on the floor conflictedly.

Since the man had kidnapped his son, Mike hated him very much. Still, tying the man up like this was not a solution.

If this could work, he would have done it long ago. However, he knew this perverted man too well—he would rather die than reveal Nick’s whereabouts.

Mike turned to look at Lily and asked, “Now what?”

Since things had come to this, there were no other ways to deal with it. Since Edward had done this, they could not drop their pretenses on whether or not they chose to kill the man.

“Stop laughing!” Edward seemed angry and went over to give him a hard kick. The kick landed squarely and heavily on the man’s stomach.

Grunting, the man curled up due to pain for a few seconds before continuing to burst into maniacal laughter. It was as if he heard a funny joke, and nothing could stop him from laughing.

Edward grew upset and wanted to kick him again, but Lily raised her hand and said, “That’s enough.”

Her voice stopped Edward, and the man’s laughter gradually became intermittent chuckles filled with ridicule.

Lily looked at him and said coldly, “Cut your act!”
