“Perhaps it’s a pathogen or something we don’t know about,” Dominic murmured, his eyes shut, drained of all energy. Meanwhile, the other two leaned over to listen intently since his voice was soft.

However, although Dominic moved his lips slightly, no other words came out. The two men exchanged puzzled looks and wondered if anything was wrong with their hearing.

“Uncle Dom, what did you say?” Austin asked again.

The older man gave no response.

“Seems like…” Before Austin could finish, Dominic suddenly snapped his eyes open.

Austin was startled and quickly leaned over. “Uncle Dom?”

Dominic looked dazed as if he had just woken up from sleep. Then he turned his gaze to Austin. “You… brat!”

“Yes, it’s me!” Knowing that Dominic might be unable to stay awake for too long, Austin quickly asked, “What should I do to help you?”
