Lily could feel her babies turning like they were yawning and stretching. There was a bulge on her stomach that eventually disappeared. It indicated everything was going well, making her feel relieved.

Amid her recent ordeal, she realized her children must also have suffered. She could find some peace of mind as long as they were safe.

After taking a moment to gather herself, she stood up and walked around the room. She noticed there was no one else in the room. However, it was evident there were surveillance cameras present.

As Lily approached the window, she drew the curtains and realized it was blocked, so she could not see the outside. In other words, the window was just a decoration.

The room was quite spacious, resembling a suite. When Lily exited the bedroom, she entered a living area with a sofa, coffee table, and a water dispenser, among other things. Overall, it felt relatively luxurious.

‘Yeah, I’m in a hotel suite. Or more like a luxurious cage.’

Even if she did not try to open the door, she knew she could not leave this place so easily.

‘Now that the organization has brought me here, they would not allow me to leave at will.’

With that thought in mind, she approached the door, placed her hand on the doorknob, and paused momentarily before forcefully pulling it open. The door swung open quickly but outside stood two men who looked like thugs. When the door opened, they swiftly extended their hands to block her.

‘How can I miss this chance? Since I’m already here, I have to adapt to the situation. However—’

Lily touched her pockets and looked around the empty room. She realized they had confiscated her phone.

‘Losing all means of communication is a rather tricky situation. Alex must be worried sick! I must find a way to contact the outside world immediately. I fear Mike has already told Alex the news now that the organization has taken me away. On top of that, I have no idea what happened to Dominic.’

After pacing the room for a while, Lily turned and sat on the sofa. She started feeling a little hungry as her stomach growled, reminding her she had not eaten anything in a long time.
