Austin felt helpless but could do nothing. He could only say, "Galen, you're a good boy, right? Didn't I say you can't come into this room? Grandpa is still recuperating, so why don't you return to your room and play?"

The little boy was very obedient and did not go forward. However, he did not leave either. Instead, he stood at the door, looking at the older man with his big eyes before softly calling out, "Grandpa?"

It became even harder for the two adults to refuse Galen.

Ultimately, Dominic sighed and waved him over. “Come here, you!”

“U-Uncle Dom!” Austin could not help but yell as a reminder. After all, they should not endanger the child just because they felt sorry for him.

Dominic waved, signaling it was okay. Then he said, “Honestly, we’ve all been living under the same roof. Galen would’ve gotten infected long ago since he’s here too. For instance, the servants barely came close to me, yet they still got infected, right?

“If it happens, it happens. Since we didn’t immediately send Galen away, he has to face everything with us.”

Austin had more to say after hearing his granduncle's words but could not utter a rebuttal.

‘Uncle Dom is right! Galen should have gotten infected long ago!’

Austin did not know why that was. After all, he had not even figured out what kind of virus it was.

With Dominic’s permission, Galen grinned and ran toward the bed with his wobbly legs. Although Dominic allowed him to enter, the older man still took a cloth from the side to cover his mouth and nose.

With so much going on, Austin barely had time and energy to focus and take care of Galen. However, Galen did not cry or throw tantrums, as if he understood everything. It made sense that a child his age would not understand what was happening.

After all, other children in this situation would have only thought they could not play with or see their parents, resulting in various tantrums to fulfill their desires. However, Galen was different as he was usually well-behaved and obedient.

“You know I can’t bear to spank you,” Dominic said smilingly, patting Galen affectionately. “But you must listen to Austin and try not to come into Grandpa’s room so much. We’ll play together when I get better, okay?”

"Okay!" Galen nodded, rubbing his cheek against Dominic's hand.

Dominic felt his eyes becoming watery when he saw that. He had endured days of pain and endured so much, yet he had always remained composed. However, Galen’s actions softened his heart. Dominic just wished for all the damnation to end as soon as possible.
