“Tell us! What did you buy?”

“That‘s a big piece of furniture!”

Many colleagues gathered around curiously, and some even leaned in to look inside. However, the box was so tightly sealed that all they saw were wooden boards.

“I didn‘t buy it!” Lily shook her head and put one hand on the wooden box. “Did the security say anything else about who had sent it?“.

Her colleagues all shook their heads and said that they did not know.

Tapping her fingers on the wooden frame, Lily not only wondered who sent it but also how to open it. Who knew what was inside this enormous box?

Could it be that she had been in the limelight too much recently and someone sent her something to retaliate? When this thought flashed through her mind, she abruptly pulled her hand back as if she was afraid something inside the box would bite her.

“Wow, this box is huge!” Olivia rushed over with pancakes in her hands. “What‘s inside?”

Lily looked at her and casually said, “A bomb!”

Olivia instantly jumped back. Fortunately, she did not toss the pancake in her hands. Then, with widened eyes, she asked, “Really?!”

“Of course not. It‘s a joke. How could we stay here if it‘s real?”

“No, no, it‘s none of those. I was just asking around. Forget it!”

Just as she was about to hang up, his impatient voice rang through the phone. “What do you mean forget it? For you to call me and ask about this, it must be a big gift that you like very much. What is it? Do you not know who gave it to you?”

“I don‘t know who gave it or what’s in it. How would I know if I like it or not?” She sighed. “It‘s a big wooden box that‘s sealed shut. I can‘t see what’s inside.”

Hearing this, Alexander kept quiet and pondered for a moment before saying, “Then, don‘t open it first. Get someone to move it to an open space before you try and open it.”

Lily laughed. “You don‘t think there’s a bomb in there, do you? Don‘t worry. If it were a bomb, it would‘ve exploded by now. I didn‘t hear any sound from inside either.”
