After saying that, Heather was ready to leave, with Ralph chasing after her.

"Where are you going? Let me take you."

"I have a car."

She did not stop and just continued to walk quickly.

"You can ask your driver to take your car home.It’s rare for us to spend time together, so don’t be so cold to me, all right? Give me a chance to spend time with you, hm?"

"I drove here."

"You did? Didn't you say that you can’t drive?"

"I’ve been learning, and I just got my driving license recently" she replied perfunctorily, not wanting to spend time talking about all this nonsense with him anymore.

She turned around and stretched her arm, putting it in front of her to widen the distance between them.

"Mr.Russell, I’m interested to date you, and there’s a possibility for us to get married, but please don’t go overboard.I need my personal space too.If you can’t accept this and you can’t respect me for that, it’s pointless for us to continue with this relationship."

Ralph was stunned by her reprimands.

All this time, he thought he had her in the palm of his hands and that he was in control of the entire situation.

When he met with Heather today, he felt like they had gone back to square one again.

One moment, she could be lovely, allowing him to kiss and hug her, but she could turn into a devil the next second.

The way she looked at him earlier made him feel like a knife was pressing on his neck, and she would behead him if he took another step forward.

It was terrifying! On the other hand, Heather had gotten into her car and started her engine to drive away.

She threw the box out of her car window as well.

After driving a short distance, she stepped on the brakes and looked back at the abandoned jewelry box.

Once she gave it some thought, she picked it up and brushed the dust off it.

Then, she tossed it away again, but onto the passenger seat this time.

She got into her car once again and fastened her seatbelt.

This time, she drove away without any hesitation.
