She immediately asked, “Who sent this bouquet? Can you tell me the sender’s name or how to contact them?”

The delivery man smiled. “I’m sorry, the client had requested to remain anonymous. Without their permission, I cannot tell you their personal details.”

Nell frowned but she did not say much as she accepted the delivery.

Due to the large bouquet, she physically could not carry it herself. So, she had the delivery man place it on the ground in a corner for her.

Then, she picked up the diamond necklace from the bouquet.

This necklace’s craftsmanship was quite intricate. It was not something one could find in any average retailer. It felt like something one would have to make a custom order for.

Furthermore, a diamond that was as big as this was as rare as it got. Hence, Nell could not help but get curious about this mystery person who was sending her these things.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew had gathered to see what the commotion was.

“Whoa! What a giant diamond! It must be at least ten carats!”

“Oh my God! Who sent you this? What a show-off!”

“Nell, why are all your admirers so rich? I can understand President Leith giving you a Red Coral Gemstone, but did a random fan of yours really send you such a big diamond?”

“This must be worth at least a few million, right? Holy crap, that’s basically my salary for starring in a few films.”

“I envy you, Nelly.”

Suddenly, she was surrounded by the female actresses on the set. Despite earning the envy and admiration of her castmates, Nell seemed to be completely out of it.

She raised her eyebrows as she looked at this gift. Her instincts told her that this was no mere gift.

No matter how she looked at it, there was no way an average movie fan would give such an expensive diamond necklace as a gift.

She did not know why, but she immediately thought of the phone call from that night where they had celebrated her return.

Her heart sank as her face turned pale.

Trying to keep calm, she looked up to see that she was surrounded by a bunch of actresses who were busy admiring the diamond necklace. She said, “I’m so sorry, but I suddenly remembered that I have something I need to do. I gotta head back to the hotel now, I’ll bring it here for you guys to admire again in the future! Hah!”

With that, she quickly picked up the necklace and left the scene.

Once she got back to the hotel, she came up with an excuse and sent Nancy off.

Then, she sat cross-legged on her bed, gripping onto her phone tightly as she stared at the phone number on the screen, seemingly conflicted over something.

A long moment later, she finally resolved herself and clicked on the re-dial option.

At that point, Nell could feel her own hands trembling uncontrollably.

Her back had already been drenched with cold sweat. It almost felt like there was something stuck down her throat as she struggled to even make a voice.

Yet, just when she thought the call was about to go through…

Her thoughts were interrupted by a busy tone.

“Sorry, the number you have dialed is unavailable…”

She was speechless.
