Raising a brow, Joel fell into contemplation.

Suzy was under the impression that he took her words to heart, hence the smile on her face lit up even more.

Meanwhile, Lucy was still unaware of what was happening over the other side.

She watched as the footboy behind her continuously made mistakes due to his nerves and he grew more nervous after the assistant director yelled at him. It was an endless vicious cycle.

After a slight pause, she smiled. “Assistant director, his acting is not the issue. He might be tired and a little nervous. Why don’t we all take a break for five minutes to readjust ourselves?”

The assistant director frowned unhappily.

Nevertheless, he agreed to it without commenting further.

“Alright then, let’s continue after a five-minute break!”

Lucy threw him a grateful smile for his response before circling back to the actor.

She muttered an advice, “Take it easy, don’t let your nerves get the best of you. If you really can’t, go take a drink of water. Investors are people too, they won’t eat you up so you don’t have to be so terror-stricken.”

Since the actor looked quite young, he probably was a newbie who had just stepped foot into an acting career and it could not have been easy for him to score a role with a few lines.

Perhaps he got into his own head because it never occurred to him that an investor would actually come to the set; hence why the blunders due to nerves.

He stared at her with gratitude and nodded. “Thank you, Sister Lucy. I’ll pull myself together.”

Lucy nodded.

In the remaining time, Lucy stayed and chatted with him so that he could let loose.

In fact, the actor was aware that he had dropped the ball a lot today.

He was feeling guilty but was thankful to be consoled by Lucy.

After all, newbies who were fresh into the scene were often looked down upon by everyone. Normally, they were the ones who were bullied on the set.

Sure, they could let the fact that they were not in the position to fight back, slide. It was alright if they came across a nice person but often enough, they were treated as a punching bag if it was otherwise.

They were a group of people without any standings in the production because each one of them was replaceable. Thus, they carried out every tiny detail with a bundle of nerves and the utmost care, unaware that by doing so, mistakes were prone to happen.

He almost believed that the director was going to replace him and it had never crossed his mind that he would receive a five-minute break in return.

This was all because of Lucy.

With that in mind, he looked at Lucy gratefully and replied sincerely, “Sister Lucy, thank you very much.”

Lucy gave him a grin. “No problem. I was once a newbie too. I know how it is in the beginning. Settle down and don’t make any more mistakes.”

The man nodded solemnly.

With a smile, Lucy patted on his shoulder as an encouragement.

At the same time, on the other side.

Joel turned glum.

Opening his thin lips, he coldly snorted. “Yuri, did I invest a lot of money in this drama just to see actors flirting on set?”

Yuri was taken aback.

Flirt?

Where?

He managed the set with an iron fist. With fooling around banned here, who would dare to even flirt?

He did not seem to recall any couples in his production!

Joel smirked coldly at his confusion. His smile was rather chilling.

“Can an actress on set randomly plead for other actors? Yuri, I gave you money to hire a bunch of good-for-nothings to act?”

Yuri was puzzled by his sudden burst of tantrum and only snapped out of it after a while.
