He couldn't help but sneer, "Even more stingy than Brenda and Aaron. In that case, there's no need for Jaxon and Ava to bother."

With that, he pulled out his phone and transferred $8888 to Stephanie via PayPal.

"PayPal payment, eight thousand, eight hundred and eighty-eight dollars."

Everyone heard this and their expressions turned weird.

Stephanie said with mixed feelings, "Sebastian, Christmas gifts are about the thought. You give what you can afford. I don't really care about the money."

Sebastian replied, "What others have, you should have too. If they can't play by the rules, I'll make up for it. After all, if it was some rich girl marrying into the Ingram family, they'd think this money was peanuts."

Jaxon said grimly, "Sebastian, what are you doing? How long are you going to make a fuss over a gift?"

"A single mom and a working girl who earns six hundred bucks a month and recently got promoted to now earning a grand gave me a gift worth eight hundred and eighty-eight dollars yesterday. That's more than her month's salary; she's basically worked a month for nothing, just for me.
