Rose, a teenager, lives with her best friend Liza in a secluded town with beautiful hills and breathtaking scenery. Being in college, they couldn't afford a lot but enough to buy a house tucked in a beautiful corner, isolated and away from civilization. Everything might have seemed to be going fine for her to her classmates, who were oblivious to the things she had to go through when she was a child.
Rose's childhood was not a pleasant one. Her parents and brother used to abuse her both physically and mentally, lashing out at her without any reason. The trauma from the past is something that she couldn't ever get over but pretends that everything is okay.
Things were going okay for her though when she moved here, but everything changed when Dimitri, the new music teacher, steps into her life. Being a passionate and uprising pianist with her shy, scared and introverted personality, she couldn't do much and fell into the grasp of Dimitri.
Ivan, who seemed to be her friend, also turned out to be something that she couldn't quite understand. From being a friendly guy to molesting her from nowhere, she was left confused and completely helpless as somehow Liza was missing as well.
Trying to escape from both of them, she stumbled and fell into the cage of somebody who she thought she'd never meet again. Her brother. He took her and kidnapped her and kept her at a house where he and his mob kept guard. His intentions were nothing but to hand her over to the person who paid him.
Dimitri.
That's where the book ends and the sequel starts.
