Shawn looked at his mother who went to exit the play and looked at Hannah smiling sheepishly. She shook her head disapprovingly and he wondered why.

“ You shouldn't have talked to her in that manner”

“ And she should not have talked to her in that manner? I did for you, for us”

“ I am the one who said I am in love with you. She has every right to speak to you in whatever manner that she wants”

“But you should not have said all those things to her, she must be feeling bad now”

“Listen, I want the both of you to get close as well, but then she makes it impossible for the both of you to be close. if only she would accept you then my father would not have a problem at all, but you don't know him, he's always dancing to her tune and will do whatever she's asking to do, I did all those things looking out for you”
