Anya believed in the idea of giving back more than you take, a gesture of gratitude that she held dear.

Leo felt reassured, saying, "My girl really knows how to handle things."

After taking a couple of sips, he handed the cup to Anya. "Here, have some too."

Anya drank from the edge of the cup, and Leo gestured to a corner of the room. "I got you some snacks over there. Have a bite to keep you going. Shoot a quick message to your advisor, and once you're up from your nap this afternoon, I'll take you to school. Then, we can hit the supermarket together."

Thinking it over, Anya realized it would save her time and hassle, so she nodded. "Chad, where did you suddenly get all this money?"

"I developed an app and locked in a three-year deal with a company. With this cash, we can move to a bigger place. Why don't you move in with me?"

"Ah, but I'll miss little Henry so much."

Leo chuckled, "Well, the main reason I want you to move in is because of that little rascal."

Anya pouted, "You're so unreasonable."

Later, Anya vented about the situation to Mia, who shrugged it off. "Get used to it. The Cedillo family gets irrationally jealous—your uncle, your aunt, even your kid brother Henry, they're all the same."

By the afternoon, Leo's headache had eased up a lot. They got to the university, and while Anya went into the teacher's office, Leo waited outside.

"That's not exactly it. Tony, I'm genuinely trying to help you. It just so happens my boss thought, if you could bring someone in, she'd reluctantly agree."

"Mr. Jerry, you don't need to pretend anymore. You're still after Leo." Jerry's words were contradictory. If the company really intended to drop him, why push him to betray his friend and then promise to promote both of them?

The heart of the issue was they wanted him to do their dirty work. "Thanks, but no thanks. And I'm sure Ms. Kathy is right beside you. Let's be clear, I can't stoop to that. I'm not signing."

With that, Tony hung up, wiped away his tears, and headed back to change out of his costume.

The director, watching from the utility room, turned to his assistant and asked, "Who’s that guy?"
