So, had he just accidentally given Mia a whole new idea? Andre couldn’t help but wonder.
He’d tucked her into bed, but still had to make the first move—pulling her closer, urging her to lay her head on his arm.
“This was your idea, not mine,” Mia teased, glancing up at him. Her “pillow” slipped down to her neck, so she simply rolled over, tossing a leg across her husband without a second thought.
Andre caught her leg and, with a quick tug, pulled the soft, warm bundle of his wife right onto his chest. The sudden movement left Mia blinking in surprise.
He cupped the back of her head and kissed her, hard, unable to hold back the mix of emotions surging through him. The kiss left Mia’s lips tingling and her head pinned so firmly she couldn’t move away even if she tried.
Then, with a practiced motion, Andre rolled them over, pinning her beneath him as he claimed the night as his own.
Meanwhile, Molly’s foot had been aching for ages. Chad started off massaging the top of her foot, but after a while, her skin was pink and tender. Molly finally groaned, “Chad, enough! You’re going to give me old lady feet before I even hit thirty.”
Chad set her feet down and looked at her, trying to hide a smirk. “Then let’s talk about—”
“Ah! My foot hurts again, Chad. Seriously, it’s killing me, what are we gonna do?” she interrupted, putting on her best wounded expression.
Chad stood up, blocking her view, and started unbuttoning his shirt. “Guess we’ll have to distract you from the pain, then.”
Watching him, Molly could only think: Here we go again.
The next morning, the two men met up, both in a great mood after a satisfying night, even if neither had managed to get any secrets out of their wives.
Neither dad had any clue when the boys had finally fallen asleep. So, after barely five hours of rest, little Henry and Wayne were woken up by their merciless fathers.
The whole Cedillo house was soon filled with the wails of toddlers—each with their own unique (and equally ear-splitting) cry.
Henry, in a fit of baby rage, even hurled his bottle.
Wayne’s eyes filled with tears as he looked at his dad, as if blaming him for this cruel awakening.
