Once upon a time, Andre was a pain in the ass for Leo, then came along a hot-tempered female member of the family. Now, as if destiny thought life wasn't spicy enough, it threw in an aunt who was a real bully.

He asked, "Mia, can I move out?" He felt like he was ranked even lower than the family dog at home.

"Dream on." Mia said to him.

"Mia, where’s mom?" Jade asked.

Jade's memory of her mother was always filled with warm smiles, wore clean, solid-colored dresses. Why did she suddenly disappear? Jade didn't even get to say goodbye.

"A month after you left, your mom passed away. Andre told me it was because of excessive longing. Her condition worsened, incurable. But tonight Hansen told me, it was because she saw your 'body', it was the shock that killed her." Mia said.

Jade turned to look at the person who spoke, although she couldn't make out the emotions in Mia's eyes, she felt a wave of sorrow, "Mom died because of me?"

Mia nodded, "The specifics are not simple. Hansen and Andre are going to confront the Marshal family tomorrow."

"How could this happen?" Jade was all in sadness.

Mia shook her head, she didn’t even know about these complex family affairs. However, since she was now a member of this family, she had to understand what happened. Her husband was investigating; she couldn’t just stand by.

"Jade, why did you fall into the sea?" Mia asked.

"What? Jade, you fell into the sea?" Leo was curious about everything he heard.

"Actually, I don't know. I only know that I met someone, then they wanted to kill me, and I was thrown into the sea." Jade answered.

"You were thrown in?" Mia was taken aback.

Jade nodded.

Mia frowned. Met someone? "Jade, can you remember what that person looked like?"

Jade shook her head. She was only five at the time, and memories were blurry. Plus she was terrified, she couldn't remember at all.

Mia wasn't disappointed, but relieved, "The Byrne family rescued you, and now you've been found. My good friend has become my family. Leo is our nephew."

Leo looked into the distance, told himself to relax, not to care too much.

The three of them stayed by the lake for a long time, Mia and Leo talked a lot with Jade, helped her with her troubles. When Mia's phone was about to die, the three of them used the phone's flashlight to light their way back the original route they came. But, as they gradually walked out of the mud, Mia was stunned by the sight in front of her.

Hansen was standing in front with a cane, looking at the girl in the middle, biting back tears. Jade was also looking at her father waiting in front.

There were also Bruce, Andre, Naomi, Jade’s mother and brother.

Jade's disappearance made Coleen realize that everything was irrevocable. Mr. Kendrick comforted his wife for a long time, tried to make her accept reality. Chad received Andre's message, he came to Emerald Lake to pick up his sister, brought along their worried parents.

All of Jade's family, they were all waiting for her by the shore.

Mia could feel her hesitation, so she said to her friend, "Jade, be strong, everyone you see here loves you deeply."

Jade walked up the steps, she got close to Hansen, and tears flowed down before she could speak.

"Dad!" Jade started crying as soon as she called out this term.

Jade looked at her mother's messy hair, and helped smooth her hair, "Mom, I'm sorry."

Coleen wiped away her tears and hugged Jade, "We have things to do tonight too, you go back."

Everyone in the Byrne family didn't have the heart to make her sad, so they all stepped back. In the end, Jade watched the Byrne family's car leave, then she and Hansen got in the same car to go home.

Mia naturally followed her husband. She directly sat in the passenger seat, buckled her seat belt, happily waiting for her handsome private driver in the world.

Naomi also left with her husband in the same car.

And there was Leo, all alone in the cold winter, his heart frozen in ice. He had Mia for company when he drove there. But on the way back, the chick ditched him to join her hubby. He drove home alone.

The Byrne family of three got back home and Coleen instantly felt the absence of her daughter. Covering her teary eyes, she guiltily murmured, "I'm such a mess, so selfish. I deserve to be punished."

Chad comforted his mom, "Mom, Jade will come back, trust me."

Mr. Kendrick dialed his parents, "Mom, Dad, I need to tell you something. Brace yourselves."

At the Cedillo's, Jade returned to the joint less than twelve hours after she left. She walked into a room, led by Andre. Her mother's photos and memorial were displayed there.

Tears poured down Jade's face as she looked at the woman who was no longer alive. Standing beside her, Andre said, "Mom, I brought Molly back."
