They arrived in the Cedillo family's living room and happened to run into Leo, who was searching for Molly.

Upon seeing the coat on Molly's back, he wisely chose to make himself scarce.

Molly, with Chad in tow, stepped into the room.

"Dad, I'm sorry."

Mia turned her head, and shocked to find out that Molly had found a supporter.

After sitting in the Cedillo family's living room for five minutes, Molly spilled the beans about what had happened in the afternoon.

Mia added, "We didn't mean to keep it from you, but we knew you'd sneak some bites, and if my husband found out tonight, we'd be in hot water. Molly and I were planning to have it tomorrow morning when my husband isn't home. Me, Molly, Dad, Leo, each of us would have a pack. But after I bought it, before I could even take a bite, you finished them all."

The person who sneakily ate them had a sore mouth and felt guilty inside.

At that moment, he was cooling down with ice cubes, sipping water, slowly easing the burning sensation.

Hansen retorted, "You stashed this stuff in my bedroom, even blocking my light, I was bound to find out. If you had told me upfront, would I have sneaked a bite?"

Leo responded, "You make it sound so easy, remember last time when Andre told you not to eat the ice cream, who ended up in the hospital after sneaking some? We did this to prevent you from doing it again."

"Shut up! It has nothing to do with you, what do you have to say?" Hansen questioned his grandson.

Leo tapped the table, "Well, you're right, this mess ain't on me, Andre is my witness this time."

Hansen retorted, "Don't push your luck, I don't like you, I'd whack you with my cane."

Leo pointed at his grandfather and said to Andre, "Andre, grandpa's speech is clear, not stuttering, looks like he's better now, you should teach him a lesson about sneaking food."

Hansen turned around, glaring at Andre, "If you dare teach me a lesson, your wife, your sister, they'll pay the price."

If he was to be punished, let them be punished together, at least they'd have company.

Mia was staring at her own toes. Molly who found a supporter was hiding behind her clothes.

Chad took a call at the Cedillo's, and he was needed back.

But Molly had messed up as soon as she got home, even though they were her family, she still felt guilty, she chose to hide when faced with problems she'd rather not confront.

"Brother."

Her voice was pleading, Chad knew what she wanted as soon as he heard it.

So Chad took Molly's hand, turned to Hansen and asked, "Hansen, my grandparents are missing Jade too, could I take her back with me for the night?"

Hansen glanced at his daughter, he knew what was really going on. They didn't really miss her, she just wanted to escape the embarrassment of dealing with her own problems.

"Why are you asking me, it's not up to me, Molly can go wherever she wants."

Hearing this, Molly felt even more guilty.

She went upstairs to change, took off Chad's coat, and followed him out.

Chad took Molly and headed to the police station. In the car, Molly rolled down the window, letting the cold air in. She held her temples with one hand, elbow resting on the window, she turned to her brother and asked, "Do you think I've disappointed dad?"

Chad responded, "Hmm."

Molly was silent for a while.

She had hoped for some reassurance from her brother, but it seemed like she would have to comfort herself.

When they arrived at the police station, Molly realized that her grandparents' concern was all an act, just an excuse for Chad to take her away.

Chad let her into his office, "If you're tired, you can rest on the couch for a bit, I'll leave the coat here for you, if you're cold, cover yourself."

Mia nodded, "Yes."

Then they stared at each other.

Andre was almost driven mad by Mia, "if you have something to say, just say it, why are you looking at me? Do you need time to prepare?"

Mia asked again, "Darling, can I speak now?"

Andre's anger made his heart race. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his heartbeat and restore it to normal. Then he nodded and said, "Go on."

"Darling, I love you."

"I don't want to hear that."

Mia thought about the last time, when she did something wrong and was forgiven by her husband after saying "I love you" while being held in his arms, she wanted to try again, "Darling, I love you, I love you like I love life, I will always love you, no matter when or where."

Andre was now frozen in place, his reaction was drastically different from the last time he heard "I love you".

Mia started to wonder, could it be that she had said "I love you" too many times every night in bed, and he was used to it?

"Continue, why did you stop?" Mr. Cedillo clearly hadn't had enough.

Mia glanced at her husband's expression.

Oh man, he was still not cheered up.

Andre went on, "You've got a way with words. How about I ship you off to the debate team, and make a debater out of you?"

Mia shook her head, "If I become a debater, I won't have time to be with you, darling."

"I don't need your company. I'll be just fine without you around."
